Oficina Zero departs from the premise that we are all political bodies and Art, even if sometimes fails, has to be political enough.
Oficina Zero program is not a formation from teachers to students but, from artists to artists, from person to person, from citizen to citizen. The Oficina Zero programme wants to question the conventional training/education of Dance/Arts or even the non artistic education by being connected to the real world, politically, ethically, bringing the difference together, committed to gender equality and equal rights , in order to invest in a better arts community.
OZ questions its existence / objectives on a daily basis in an attempt not to fall into a formatted program without reflection on the present. Each year is now.
Oficina Zero places itself in a position of asking artists to be “learning” and the formation group to be responsible to give and share their knowledge. Often artists when they give a formation they are there to teach or share their practice to a group of students who want to learn. In Oficina Zero vision, all people want to learn and all people have something important to share and a voice to be heard. All, just at different times in their career.
