performative conversations at the intersection
of practice, process, and sharing.
It is a space in between, activated by action and transformation. It creates a dynamic field of connections and reconnections, a place where threads become webs, forms become images, colors become intentions, and weaves become knots.
NO TAPETE defines a space inside and outside of it where everything is woven without the pressure to become a product.
NO TAPETE is a cycle of performative conversations designed to open space for what lies underneath artistic practices, the interstices, the questions, the struggles, the dreams, and the realities artists inhabit through their research. The intention is to pull the carpet from under the artist not to expose, but to reveal, to invite reflection, and to bring the artistic process into a shared and dynamic relationship with the community.
Since May 2024, Oficina Zero has presented NO TAPETE, a series of monthly public performative talks that focus not on final performances, but on the sharing of the creative process, in collaboration with Teatro Municipal de Matosinhos - Constantino Nery.
As we reach the third edition, we are turning a new page and opening a chapter of fresh possibilities. Following 13 sessions at the Café Concerto of TMM Constantino Nery, the event will now be hosted at the beautiful and vibrant Exploratório / ESAD-Idea, R. Brito Capelo 243 – Matosinhos.
It will still take place on the last Thursday of the month, every month, until the summer, starting at 7pm, hosted at Exploratório / ESAD- idea, creating a new space of encounter between artists, researchers, students, performers and the broader community.
